Partners: Bluesun Kaj Hotel

The Bluesun Kaj Hotel was first opened in 1980 by a Zagorje co-operative and was called Kaj.

When the Archdiocese of Zagreb bought the hotel in 2003, Kaj Hotel was renamed Salve Regina Hotel.

In 2008, the Andabak family bought the company Salve Regina Ltd and after redecoration and expansion, re-opened the hotel in the summer of 2009. The hotel has since opened its doors to guests under its original name Kaj and operates as part of the Croatian hotel chain Bluesun Hotels & Resorts, as the first Bluesun hotel in continental Croatia.

Marija Bistrica and Bluesun Kaj Hotel are located on the northern slopes of Zagrebačka gora, approximately 40 km from Zagreb, in the southeast region of Hrvatsko zagorje.

Marija Bistrica is an old Croatian Marian shrine where Croatians have found salvation and spiritual peace for centuries.

Located on the main square in the very heart of Marija Bistrica, Bluesun Kaj Hotel offers a first-hand experience of this unique town in Zagorje. The view from the rooms stretches over picturesque central Croatian landscapes, covered in grapevines and lush ash and oak forests.

Bluesun Kaj Hotel, in addition to accomodation, conference rooms and wellness & spa centres, offers first class cuisine based on the imaginative interpretation of traditional cooking, created by our team of expert chefs, trained at the Ritz Escoffier Ecole culinary academy in Paris.
